Out-of-pocket costs vary by consultation type. For standard follow-ups, fees range $40–$60; comprehensive first appointments are $60.

Can I get a Medicare rebate for telehealth?

Only if you meet MBS eligibility criteria (established clinical relationship or exemption). If not, telehealth remains available privately at $180/session.

What if I live outside WA?

You can access telehealth from anywhere in Australia. Medicare rebates depend on your eligibility — email us with your postcode and last face-to-face consult to check.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online via our website. Your appointment will be confirmed once all administrative screens, consent forms, and rebate eligibility checks are completed.

I am a veteran and have outstanding DVA claims for mental health. Can WellNurse complete the DVA documentation for me?

While WellNurse cannot complete DVA claim documentation directly, we can fully support your engagement with a specialist Psychiatrist. This includes:

• Facilitating referrals to an appropriate Psychiatrist

• Liaising with the Psychiatrist on your behalf to ensure timely and accurate completion of the documentation

• Providing detailed clinical information to the Psychiatrist to help expedite the process

Our team is very familiar with DVA reporting requirements and is committed to supporting you throughout the process to make it as smooth as possible.

I am a veteran. Can DVA cover my consultation with a Nurse Practitioner at WellNurse?

Currently, DVA does not recognise Nurse Practitioners for the purposes of claiming fees. This means that DVA will not cover consultations with WellNurse.

However, you may still be eligible for a Medicare rebate where applicable. Any remaining cost will be an out-of-pocket fee, depending on the type of consultation booked.
