Telehealth Consultations

Telehealth provides flexibility for patients in WA or across Australia. Appointments are available for both new and returning clients.

Medicare Rebates for Telehealth:

To be eligible for a rebate, you must meet the MBS criteria for Nurse Practitioner telehealth services, including:

  • An established clinical relationship (face-to-face consult with the same practice within the last 12 months), or

  • Meeting an official exemption, e.g., patients who are:

    • Children under 12 months

    • Homeless

    • Attending an Aboriginal Medical Service

    • Subject to COVID isolation orders or natural disaster impacts

    • Requiring blood-borne virus, sexual, or reproductive health care

If neither criterion is met, telehealth remains available as a private session, without a Medicare rebate.

Booking & Eligibility Check:

Email enquiries@wellnursemhs.com.au with:

  • Your postcode / location

  • Whether you’ve had a face-to-face appointment at our practice in the past 12 months

We’ll confirm your eligibility for a rebate and advise on the appropriate session type.

Private Telehealth Sessions:

  • Flat rate $180 for 50–60 minutes

  • Suitable for ongoing support, medication reviews, or collaborative care

Booking a Telehealth Appointment

Telehealth appointments can also be booked online. As with in-person consultations, booking confirmation is issued once all administrative steps are completed, including:

  • Intake and consent forms

  • Eligibility checks for Medicare rebates
